Every year, we field lots of questions about the Phoenix Suitcase Party, so we’ve compiled a list of the most popular questions below. If you have a question that isn’t addressed in the list below, and you can’t find the information you need elsewhere on this website, please contact Michael Harris at firstname.lastname@example.org or 480-648-6060.
What is the Children In Need Foundation?
The Children In Need Foundation is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization maintained by current & past members of the Active 20-30 Club of Phoenix.
What’s the dress code for Phoenix Suitcase Party?
The suggested dress code is casual. You are going to be outside in late October, so feel free to wear jeans. However, the desert temperature drops when the sun goes down, so we recommend that you not wear shorts or flip-flops. Remember, you might be getting on a private jet at 10pm, so dress the part! Check out the Gallery page for photos from last year if you’d like to get an idea of what people wear.
Should I pack a Suitcase for this Event?
Someone is leaving on a private jet at 10pm – will it be you? Think positive and pack your bag like you know you’ll be spending the weekend out of town! Additionally, other trips to local resorts will be awarded that night, so there’s more than one reason to have that suitcase in tow.
Should I bring my suitcase into the party?
Due to space constraints and concerns about party-goers losing their bags, we ask that all guests leave their suitcases in their cars. Don’t worry, the lucky winners will be escorted back to their cars to retrieve their bags prior to departure.
Where can I park?
Complimentary valet will be provided at Ross Aviation Hangar.
What if I arrive by taxi or get a ride to the event?
We will do our best to help you store your bag at the Ross Aviation Hangar. However, please understand that we cannot be responsible for your baggage.
Where exactly is the Suitcase Party located?
The main entrance is located at Ross Aviation Hangar · 14700 N. Airport Dr. Scottsdale, AZ 85260.
What time does the event start/end?
Check in begins at 6pm. Our flight departs at 10pm. The bars close and the music stops at 11pm.
Phoenix Suitcase Party is a charity event – is my ticket cost tax-deductible?
Yes, but maybe not 100%. Phoenix Suitcase Party is a charity event, but if you attend the event and sample the food & beverages, then your donation will be partially tax-deductible – you must reduce your tax deduction by the amount of the goods/services you receive. We recommend that you consult a tax professional to discuss these matters in detail.
Do all the proceeds go to Phoenix charities?
Yes, all proceeds go to help the Children In Need Foundation.
I purchased tickets but can’t attend the event – can I get a refund?
Our standard policy is that we DO NOT issue refunds or rain checks – all sales are final. Requests for refunds due to technical issues with the ordering process will be handled on a case-by-case basis.
